Marquee
Care
Marquee Shade Sails
Clear marquees will be fitted with shade sails when built if the weather permits. These should remain on the marquee up until the day of the event to ensure everything within the marquee is protected. There’s a simple method to remove the cover which your site manager will show you on set-up. It just unclicks and is to be stored in the bags provided.
If moisture (rain or early morning dew) gets between the cover and the clear fabric, this can cause ‘fogging’. If this happens, simply remove the cover early and the UV from the sun will remove the fogging really quickly.
Shade sails cannot be installed if it is windy or raining, or if wind and rain is expected - wind makes them dangerous to remove, and they cannot be removed when wet.
Marquee Walls.
You must have a wall open at all times, either half or fully open, even overnight - unless very windy or raining. This creates airflow to ensure moisture does not build up. Please make sure this is done as moisture and heat will make the marquee fog, and can make wooden furniture bow. This includes the day after the wedding before our team arrive to pack down.
All marquee walls come with wall ties to roll and clip up your walls. When rolling the walls you must remove the metal bars and place somewhere safe on site. Your site manager will show you how to do this before they leave the site.
You are never to take a wall fully off the marquee as this could cause scratching or a hole in the wall.
Lighting.
We do not provide extension leads from the marquee or lighting location to your power source, please ensure you or your venue has these available.
Furniture around your marquee.
Allocate someone you trust or your coordinator to ensure that all furniture is looked after during your day and before the event ends that evening.
Marquee
Care
Heating or Fire around your marquee.
Gas heaters are not to be used within the marquee. The only heaters allowed in the structure are electric radiator units or exhausted heater units which must be well clear of any marquee fabric at all times.
Fire should be nowhere near the marquee in any scenario.
No smoking should occur anywhere near the marquee.
Cleaning.
If you see spills on the marquee from a cheeky drink etc, leave it. Please do not try to clean this, as we have speciality cleaning solutions for the marquee. Just let one of our staff know when we arrive on site and we will make sure it is cleaned before being packed away.
Confetti.
If any confetti or similar item sticks to the marquee walls or ceiling, this should be removed ASAP with warm water and a little soap. Moisture and condensation can make the ink from paper or any colour from the confetti stain. If there is still an issue please report it to our staff on collection of the marquee.
Hanging in your marquee.
Please get in touch with us ahead of your event if you have large, heavy items to hang from the marquee for the client.
We can hang any ropes, pulleys or structures you need to create your florals if we are told in advance - please note you must supply these items, we do not provide them.
Please do not hang florals pushing against marquee fabric as this will most likely create holes in the fabric and you will be liable for repairs.
